Al Asmakh Charitable Foundation (Afif) is one of the Qatari humanitarian institutions, established in 2012. In the State of Qatar, registration number 3/2012. Since then, it has been providing its services according to a unique vision of charitable and humanitarian work. It is based on contributing to the development of poor communities and extending a helping hand to the needy in the basic pillars of life: education, health and empowerment. The Afif Charitable Foundation is subject to the laws and rules regulating charitable work in Qatar.

The Sheikh Khalid bin Nasser Scholarship provides Qatari students and residents of Qatar with the opportunity to enroll in university education and obtain a bachelor’s degree in one of the scientific disciplines. The Sheikh Khalid bin Nasser scholarship provides total or partial care for the student, depending on the applicant’s condition.
Applications for the grant are received through the Afif Charitable Foundation website, provided that the conditions set forth below are met.

Terms and conditions for submitting applications for the Sheikh Khalid bin Nasser Scholarship:

  • The student must have been accepted into a university in Qatar country, in one of the following specializations.
  • The student must not be more than 25 years old.
  • The student must have a GPA higher than 90% for high school graduates, and a cumulative GPA of no less than 3.5 for a regular university student. All required documents must be completed and submitted electronically via the Afif Foundation’s website.
  • The applicant must be economically needy.
  • The student must not be a beneficiary of any scholarship offered by other parties (does not apply to partial scholarships).
  • The applicant must undergo a case study by the Social Aid Department of Afif Charity. A date is also set for a personal interview for the candidates by the administrative team to ensure the eligibility of the applicants and their seriousness in studying
  • The scholarship is provided to only one family member, and other applications for members of the same family may be considered after the beneficiary completes his studies.
  • The grant period is (4 consecutive years), and accordingly the grant stops automatically at the end of the fourth year.
  • The annual grant does not exceed a maximum of 40,000 QAR per applicant.
  • The scholarship stops and is withheld when the student’s academic level declines or he fails during the scholarship period.
  • Students with a low academic level who are enrolled in any university are not entitled to apply for the scholarship (full/partial).
  • Filling out the form below with all required documents is a mandatory requirement.

Note:

Applications for the Sheikh Khalid bin Nasser Scholarship are received throughout the year. Applications are studied and preferred on a semi-annual basis, and those accepted are notified via an official email by the Social Assistance Department.
