Job Requirement
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related fields.
- At least one year of experience in LMS administration, preferably in a higher education setting.
- Strong technical knowledge and experience with Moodle LMS, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Experience in designing and implementing LMS templates and course design standards.
- Familiarity with LMS accessibility regulations and experience in ensuring the LMS is accessible to all users.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Summary:
The Moodle LMS Administrator will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Moodle Learning Management System (LMS) at Albukhary International University. They will ensure the smooth functioning of the LMS, troubleshoot issues, and work with academic staff and instructional designers to ensure the successful delivery of online courses and modules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the Moodle LMS
- Develop and maintain LMS user accounts, course enrolment, and data backup
- Monitor the LMS to ensure reliable performance, availability, and security
- Troubleshoot and resolve LMS technical issues and work with the IT support team as necessary
- Provide technical support and guidance to faculty members, instructional designers, and students in the use of the LMS
- Collaborate with the instructional designers to design and develop LMS templates and course design standards
- Ensure that the LMS is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities, and conform with accessibility regulations
- Keep up-to-date with LMS trends, technologies, and innovations and recommend enhancements to the LMS as necessary.
The Moodle LMS Administrator will report to the Head of the Centre for Teaching and Learning and work closely with faculty members, instructional designers, and the IT support team to ensure the successful delivery of online courses and modules.
