Job Requirement

1. Master’s degree in Science (Mathematics, Statistics), or related field.
2. Experienced academician/professional with a credible track record in teaching & learning, at least 3 years teaching experiences.
3. Fluent in English Language (speaking, writing, teaching).

Summary:

The Centre for Foundation Studies is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Lecturer in Mathematics to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a passion for teaching mathematics and a strong commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment as well as delivering high-quality mathematics courses to equip students with the fundamental mathematical concepts necessary for their academic journey.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and deliver comprehensive mathematics courses tailored to the needs of students at the foundation level.
2. Create engaging lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that promote active learning and critical thinking.
3. Maintain accurate records of students performance and attendance.
4. Provide individualized support and guidance to students who require extra assistance in mathematics.
5. Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, quizzes, examinations, and other assessment methods.
6. Offer timely and constructive feedback to students to help them improve their mathematical skills.
7. Provide academic advising and support to students, addressing their individual needs and challenges.
8. Stay updated on educational trends and pedagogical techniques to enhance teaching effectiveness.
9. Collaborate with colleagues and the Mathematical Department to ensure course alignment and program cohesion.
10. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and academic committees as required.
11. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the mathematics curriculum and teaching methods.
