Aston University offers a number of partially funded scholarships to students in various majors. The Ferguson scholarships are supported by the Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust who are dedicated to improving educational opportunities for students who would not otherwise be able to consider studying in the UK. These scholarships are available to students applying for one of the master’s programs in the following majors:

  • MSc Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience
  • MSc Drug Delivery
  • MSc Pharmaceutical Sciences
  • MSc Pharmacokinetics
  • MSc Stem Cells & Regenerative Medicine
  • MSc Psychology (Conversion program) 
  • MSc Health Psychology

Benefits

If you get this opportunity, you will have:

  • a scholarship of £10,500.

Eligibility criteria

You should follow the following criteria:

  • You must hold a conditional or unconditional offer for one of the eligible courses.
  • Be a national from India or an African country.
  • Hold a 2:1 degree or equivalent in a relevant subject for the course you are applying for.
  • Provide a strong personal statement.
  • Be a self-funded student.

Please note:

  • If successful, you will have to contribute approximately £9,600 towards your MSc tuition fees.
  • You will be required to provide evidence to the UKVI that you can contribute this amount plus living costs.
  • The announcement of the awards will be in June 2023 via email.
