Located in France, the Universite Paris-Dauphine inhabits a unique position in French higher education. The University offers an ever more attractive curriculum with its researchers and faculty growing international prestige. Additionally, the University has also been granted an official recognition conferred by Equis accreditation.

This year, foreign students who wish to attend their postgraduate degree (master’s program) in order to prepare for a PhD program are presented with the opportunity to seek funding through the Scholarships of Excellence for Master’s Degrees at Universite Paris-Dauphine. The awards are available for the following study programs:

  • Law
  • Finance
  • Management
  • Political science or sociology
  • computer sciences or mathematics
  • economics

Qualified candidates will be awarded with up to EUR 15,000 gross annually. Successful incumbents are also allowed to enter their Master’s program either at their first year or second year of studies.

Entry criteria

Before submitting an applications, candidates are advised to read the eligibility requirements below so as to avoid disappointment and ensure their applications will be regarded.

  • Candidates must be international students, i.e. having nationality other than French
  • Candidates must have completed their undergraduate degrees in relevant fields
  • Candidates intends to commence their master’s degree to prepare for their PhD at Universite Paris-Dauphine
  • Candidates whose first language is not English are required to provide their English proficiency results which must be at the higher level in order to succeed in their studies

Application methods

Any interested candidates are advised to submit an application for the Scholarships of Excellence for Master’s Degrees at Universite Paris-Dauphine via email to([email protected] ) no later than April 30, 2019.

Please make sure your application contains all of the following important materials. Note that the submission of each of these documents is compulsory. Ergo, if there is any missing item, it will surely lead to your application being disqualified.

  • A comprehensive and recently updated curriculum vitae
  • A thorough transcripts for each university year
  • A support letter issued by the master’s track director to which candidates wish to apply
  • Two letters of academic recommendation that must be signed by faculty members
  • A motivation letter that must not exceed two pages outlining the research project of the candidates

Send an application file to obtain a scholarship to contact@fondationdauphine.fr before April 30, 2019, containing: 

  a.  a curriculum vitae,
   b.  complete transcripts for each university year,
   c. a two pages maximum motivation letter, explaining the research project of the applicant, 
   d. two letters of academic recommendation signed by faculty members, 
   e. a letter of support from the master’s track director to which they wish to apply.

3. Apply to the corresponding Master Track:

For SSH, please ensure your application is submitted no later than March 12, 2019

For Computer Sciences and Mathematics, please ensure your application reaches the University no later than June 5, 2019


Results concerning the scholarship will be sent by email on May 31, 2019.
