We\u2019re looking for a Front Office Receptionist to take ownership of delivering exceptional first impressions \u2013 managing everything from registration and reservations to porter and concierge services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A little taste of your day-to-day:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ensures incoming guests are given the highest possible personal service.\u200b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintains effective communication with all related departments to ensure smooth service delivery.\u200b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Receives guests in a professional and friendly manner, satisfying guest expectations from arrival till departure.\u200b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Greets guests on their arrival ensuring they feel expected and welcome.\u200b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensures the guest receives the accommodation he\/she is&nbsp;expecting.\u200b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintains an&nbsp;up-to-date&nbsp;knowledge of hotel and local services and supply information respond to guest queries.\u200b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deals swiftly, efficiently and sensitively to guest complaints and follows through.\u200b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintains awareness of guest profile through the Opera guest history.\u200b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Using computerized Front Office systems, process accounts from check-in through to check-out, ensuring accurate&nbsp;posting of food and beverage and ancillary charges.\u200b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Receives payments by cash, cheque, credit card or account,&nbsp;adhering to the company Credit Policy at all times.\u200b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Accurately administers Front Desk Clerical systems and procedures.\u200b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provides currency exchange services.\u200b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Balances accounts of day\u2019s business at end of shift.\u200b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Comply with all laid down systems and procedures.\u200b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Records all instances of refused business, with reasons of refusal.\u200b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensures that all bills closed on shift are checked and are closed correctly to the required standard and policy.\u200b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To regularly check the reception is organized and operating an efficient standard and checklists are completed and&nbsp;forwarded to supervisors.\u200b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promotes the hotels outlets and special events at all times.\u200b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintains an awareness of competitor\u2019s rates and occupancy levels.\u200b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintains an awareness of rates levels to be sold&nbsp;on a daily basis&nbsp;and occupancy levels.\u200b<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>What We Need From You<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ideally, you&#8217;ll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we&#8217;re looking for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Similar experience in a luxury hotel and\/or resort<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge in Opera PMS is essential<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong communication skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong interpersonal skills and excellent command of written and spoken English<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Additional language is an added advantage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong organizational skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to multitask <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>What We Offer<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019ll reward all your hard work with competitive salary and benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Join us and you\u2019ll become part of the global IHG family \u2013 and like all families, all our individual team members share some winning characteristics.
