{"id":4432,"date":"2023-04-06T14:46:32","date_gmt":"2023-04-06T14:46:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/careers.msqfon.com\/?p=4432"},"modified":"2023-04-06T14:46:36","modified_gmt":"2023-04-06T14:46:36","slug":"fulbright-teaching-excellence-and-achievement-fulbright-tea-program-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/careers.msqfon.com\/?p=4432","title":{"rendered":"Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement (Fulbright TEA) Program 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><u>Deadline April 30, 2023<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program brings international teachers to the United States for a\u00a0<strong>six-week program<\/strong>\u00a0to take academic seminars for professional development at a host university and to observe and share their expertise with teachers and students at the host university and at local secondary schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eligibility and Selection Criteria<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Current secondary-level, full-time teachers of English, English as a Foreign Language (EFL), math, science, or social studies (civics, history, geography, global studies, etc.), including special education&nbsp;teachers in those subjects at institutions serving primarily a local population.<\/li><li>Bachelor\u2019s degree or equivalent<\/li><li><strong><u>Minimum three years of full-time teaching experience by the start of the program<\/u><\/strong>. Pre-service practicum years are not included in the three-years minimum<\/li><li>Demonstrated oral and written English language proficiency<\/li><li>Citizen and resident in Sudan.<\/li><li>Other requirements as indicated in the application<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>An independent review committee will be convened to select participants for the program through merit-based competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What is the profile of the ideal Fulbright TEA candidate?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Successful Fulbright TEA candidates are current, full-time secondary school teachers of English, English as a Foreign Language (EFL), math, science, or special education at institutions serving primarily a local population.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Candidates should be planning to continue working in secondary education for&nbsp;<strong>at least three years<\/strong>&nbsp;after the conclusion of the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Candidates should be educators who demonstrate strong leadership potential and the ability to function well in an intensive and collaborative learning environment with teachers from around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Candidates should be able to live and work closely with people from a variety of backgrounds and interact in a culturally sensitive way with students (minors) and colleagues in U.S. secondary schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Program Components\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Teachers who are selected to participate in the Fulbright TEA Program will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Participate in advanced undergraduate or graduate level classes at a U.S. host university.<\/li><li>Observe classes, co-teach, and share their expertise with U.S. colleagues in U.S. secondary schools.<\/li><li>Participate in an online professional learning community with other participants to share best practices and other elements of host and home country educational systems; and take part in other education and cultural activities while on program in the United States.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon returning home, teachers are expected to share the knowledge and experience gained on the program with teachers and students in their home schools and within their communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most competitive applicants will have shown evidence of leadership in their schools, localities or states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How Apply<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Applications Mode:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Please fill the below application form and submit to the below Email address<\/u><\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>GasimKI@state.gov<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/sd.usembassy.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/257\/FY23-FTEA-Application.docx\">FY23 FTEA Application Form<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sd.usembassy.gov\/fulbrighttea-announcement\/\">official link<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Deadline April 30, 2023 The Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program brings international teachers to the United States for a\u00a0six-week program\u00a0to take academic seminars for professional development at a host university and to observe and share their expertise with teachers and students at the host university and at local secondary schools.
