Are you interested in getting your Master\u2019s or PhD degree while studying in a foreign country that has a rich culture and beautiful cities?<\/strong> If that is the case, then you should be pleased to find out that the Eiffel Scholarships in France for international students are now accepting applications<\/strong>. This Scholarships Program was established by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs in hopes of making it easier for high education institutions located in France to attract extraordinary foreign students and enroll in the Master\u2019s and PhD programs. With that said, let\u2019s go ahead and check out what are the benefits of being awarded a scholarship from this program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eiffel Scholarships in France for International Students: Benefits<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For Master\u2019s level studies, the Eiffel scholarship includes a monthly allowance of \u20ac1,181 (a maintenance allowance of \u20ac1,031 and a monthly stipend of \u20ac150) and can be awarded for 12-36 months.  For PhD level studies, the Eiffel scholarship includes a monthly allowance of \u20ac1,400 and is awarded for a maximum of 12 months.<\/ins><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the programme meets various expenses including international return trip, national and local transport, health insurance, and cultural activities. Scholarship holders may also receive an additional housing allowance, under certain conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tuition fees are not covered<\/strong> by the Eiffel Programme. The French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs expects the educational institutions, whose international influence is enhanced by this program, make sure students receive the best financial support. Students admitted to public educational institutions are, as French government scholarship holders, exempted from enrolment fees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eiffel Scholarships in France for International Students: Criteria<\/strong><\/ins><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nationality<\/strong>: This programme is reserved for candidates of non-French nationality. Candidates with two nationalities, one of which is French, are not eligible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Age<\/strong>: For master\u2019s level, candidates must be not older than 30 on the date of the 2020 Call of Applications, that is, students born after March 1989. At PhD level, candidates must be  not older than 35 on the date of the 2020 Call of Applications, that is, students born after March 1984.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Origin of applications<\/strong>: Only applications submitted by French educational establishments are accepted. These establishments undertake to enrol scholarship holders on the course for which they have been selected. Applications submitted by any other means shall not be considered. Furthermore, any candidate nominated by more than one establishment shall be disqualified.<\/ins><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Courses of study:<\/strong> Scholarships are for students wishing to enrol on a master\u2019s course, including at an engineering school, and for PhD students. The Eiffel Programme does not apply to French-run master\u2019s courses abroad. It does not apply to training under an apprenticeship contract or a professional training contract either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Combination with other scholarships:<\/strong> Foreign students who, at the time of application, have already been awarded a French government scholarship under another programme are not eligible, even if the scholarship in question does not include social security cover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Eiffel Master Scholarship:<\/strong>  No application will be accepted for any student who applied previously but was rejected, even if the application is submitted by a different establishment or in another field of study. Students who have already been awarded an Eiffel scholarship at master\u2019s level are not eligible to re-apply at master\u2019s level.<\/ins><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Eiffel PhD Scholarship: <\/strong>Establishments may nominate a candidate who was previously awarded an Eiffel scholarship at master\u2019s level for a scholarship at PhD level. Candidates who have already been awarded an Eiffel scholarship once during their PhD cannot be awarded it for a second time. No application will be accepted for any student who applied previously but was rejected, even if the application is submitted by a different establishment or in another field of study.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Language skills:<\/strong> When pre-selecting non-French-speaking candidates, establishments must make sure that their language skills meet the requirements of the relevant course of study.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students undertaking a course of study abroad take priority over those already living in France.<\/ins><\/p>\n\n\n\n
