The Master of Public Policy (MPP)\u00a0is an intensive one-year graduate degree that offers a distinctive approach to public policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Taught by outstanding academics as well as expert practitioners, you will be uniquely positioned to develop the academic knowledge and professional skills and academic knowledge to address some of this century\u2019s most complex public policy challenges. Like no other course, the MPP represents a transformative opportunity for aspiring leaders with a commitment to public service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice\u00a0is a nine-month, full-time programme which equips its graduates with an advanced understanding of crime and criminal justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The degree comprises core courses in criminological theory and the study of criminal justice, provides training in research design and methodology, and offers students the opportunity to take optional courses in a wide range of subject areas, including policing, sentencing, prisons, the sociology of punishment, restorative justice, crime and the family, human rights, victims, youth justice, risk and security and the death penalty. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
MSc in Computer Science\u00a0is designed to teach the mathematical principles of specification, design and efficient implementation of both software and hardware. It is intended for computer science graduates as well as graduates in other numerate disciplines who have some training or programming experience or have been employed professionally in a related industry.

MSc in Pharmacology:\u00a0aims\u00a0to provide students with the necessary theoretical and practical training to enable them to integrate post-genomic molecular biology with biological function.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
MSc in Sociology\u00a0prepares you for doctoral work in Sociology and provides a stand-alone training for careers in social research.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
MSc in Economic and Social History:\u00a0This specialist Master’s programme offers a unique framework for research training in economic and social history. The compulsory core qualifying papers provide an opportunity to evaluate a range of different approaches, and also for the students to influence and respond to each other. They impart a common language, and create a close and friendly community, in which ideas are shared and strong personal ties are forged.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The programme offers a wide range of options and allows students to specialize in economic and\/or social history, or historical demography, although the boundaries between these areas are deliberately permeable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
MSt in Modern Languages:\u00a0 a nine-month, full-time programme offering advanced work in one or two literatures.\u00a0The course is designed to allow those who have a high level of attainment in a foreign language, and have studied literature to a degree level, to undertake more advanced work. It offers a wide range of languages with flexible, tailored programmes and various interdisciplinary options such as Comparative Literature, Cultural Studies, European Enlightenment and Medieval Studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The course provides a self-contained qualification that can lead on to further study but is also valuable in its own right.

MSt in Music can serve both as a self-contained course for students wishing to pursue more advanced music studies for one year or as an excellent preparation for doctoral research. Students on the three MSt courses follow a common structure, supported by appropriate individual supervision or tuition in their chosen specialism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Each MSt programme introduces a broad range of current methodologies and approaches in music scholarship. The main MSt teaching and coursework is done in the first two terms; the third is reserved for completion of assessed work. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

MSc in International Health and Tropical Medicine:\u00a0A full-time one-year multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary programme examining major challenges to the health of populations in resource-limited contexts. The course is embedded within the Oxford Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health, Nuffield Department of Medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The course aims to develop your knowledge and understanding of the major global health problems in resource-limited settings and their potential solutions; knowledge and skills in research techniques applied in the analysis of global health problems, including quantitative and qualitative research methods, health policy and systems research and public health, with opportunities for training in additional specialist fields; capacity to critically appraise evidence in global health; skills and practical experience in researching specific health problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
MSc in Migration Studies\u00a0is a nine-month interdisciplinary master\u2019s degree that analyses migration from a global perspective and as an integral part of development and social change. It will introduce you to key migration concepts, methods and theories across the social sciences and prepare you for further research or for a career in policy and international development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As a Pershing Square scholar you will receive funding for both your Master’s degree and MBA programme course fees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The scholarship also provides at least \u00a315,009 towards living expenses for both years of study.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
