The Global Initiative aims to support capacity building in the Global South and to advance future leadership focusing on sustainable global development. The UN Sustainable Development Goals are a guiding principle for the TU Delft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>TU Delft | Global Initiative\u00a0offers four Sub-Saharan Africa Excellence Scholarships every year. From the students we expect that they are willing to act as our ambassadors during their studies and after graduation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Application deadline<\/strong>:  15 December 2019 (23:59 CET) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Citizenship<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, C\u00f4te d&#8217;Ivoire, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, The Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, South-Sudan, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Excellent international applicants (conditionally) admitted to one of the 2-year Regular TU Delft\u2019s MSc programmes.<br>With a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 80 percent or higher of the scale maximum in the bachelor\u2019s degree from an accredited university in one of the above mentioned countries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Extent of Scholarship<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <strong>\u20ac25.000<\/strong> per year for Sub-Saharan students, which includes:<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Full tuition fees for a TU Delft MSc programme based on the statutory fee or institutional rate, according to the registered nationality, AND contribution for the living expenses.<\/li><li>Membership to the Scholarship club giving access to personal development, workshops, seminars, etc.<\/li><li>A MSc thesis topic which relates to the\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/sustainabledevelopment.un.org\/sdgs\" target=\"_blank\">Sustainable Development Goals<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tudelft.nl\/global\/\" target=\"_blank\">TU Delft | Global Initiative<\/a>.<\/li><li>Be our ambassador for Sub-Saharan Africa.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Application Procedure \u2013 MSc Application<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1- You may apply for one MSc programme only<\/strong><br>Incomplete applications and applications submitted by mail or email will not be processed<br><br><strong>2. All applicants are required to pay a \u20ac 120 application fee<\/strong><br>This is refunded only to students who start their MSc studies in Delft. You will be informed about the payment method in your online application.<br><br><strong>3. If you were admitted last year and would like to re-apply, you must create a new application<\/strong><br>This includes a new application in Studielink.<br><br><strong>4. For EU\/EFTA nationals:<\/strong><br>\u2013 The English language certificate may be uploaded by 1 July (23:59 CEST), provided that all other required application documents are uploaded before the 1 April deadline.<br>\u2013 You will receive an admission decision within 12 weeks following receipt of your complete application.<br><br><strong>5. For Non-EU\/EFTA nationals:<\/strong><br>\u2013 All required documents must be uploaded to osiaan.tudelft.nl and your complete application submitted by the corresponding deadline.<br>\u2013 You will receive an admission decision within 12 weeks following receipt of your complete application.<br>\u2013 Applicants applying for the MSc programme Aerospace Engineering and MSc programme Architecture Urbanism and Building Sciences will receive an admission decision at the end of February.<br>\u2013 For all other programmes, an admission capacity applies. If you meet our admission requirements, you will be considered until the admission capacity is met. The following programme has met its maximum capacity&nbsp;<strong>for Non-EU\/EFTA nationals:<\/strong><br><strong>MSc Design for Interaction&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/scholarships.msqfon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/All-required-documents-must-be-uploaded-to-osiaan.tudelft.nl-and-your-complete-application-submitted-by-the-corresponding-deadline..jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1969\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Admission Requirements<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bachelor\u2019s Degree and CGPA<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>A bachelor\u2019s degree with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA)\u202fof at least 75%\u202fof the scale maximum,\u202funless\u202fspecific requirements are\u202fdefined. The degree must be comparable in level to a bachelor\u2019s degree from a research university in the Netherlands and must be closely related to your MSc programme of choice. In addition, scores for key subjects must also be good.<br><br>Please check\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tudelft.nl\/onderwijs\/toelating-en-aanmelding\/msc-international-diploma\/admission-requirements\/country-and-region-specific-requirements\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>\u00a0if specific requirements apply for your country or region.<br>Sudan:\u00a0A 5 year bachelor\u2019s degree\u202ffrom a public university with a final cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 70% or better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">English Language Proficiency<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>All TU Delft MSc-programmes are taught in English. In order to be considered for a MSc-programme, you have to prove that your English is at a sufficient level.<br>The following English language certificates and corresponding scores are accepted*:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A TOEFL iBT with an overall band score of at least 90 and a minimum score of 21 for each section.<\/li><li>An IELTS (academic version) with an overall Band score of at least 6.5 and a minimum of 6.0 for each section.<\/li><li>A Cambridge Assessment English. Only the following certificates are accepted:<ul><li>C1 Advanced (Certificate of Advanced English) with an overall score of 176 and a minimum of 169 for each section.<\/li><li>C2 Proficiency (Certificate of Proficiency in English) with an overall score of 180 and a minimum of 169 for each section<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Note: We advise you to register for the test of your choice well in advance. Depending on your location, registering for a test could take several months.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*&nbsp;Certificates that are older than two years on the day you have uploaded the document and completed your application are not accepted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following applicants are exempted from the English test requirement:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Nationals from the USA, U.K., Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada.<\/li><li>Applicants who obtained a bachelor\u2019s degree in one of the aforementioned countries are also exempt from the English language proficiency requirement.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Procedure<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Check<\/strong>\u00a0if you&#8217;re eligible for this scholarship<br><strong>Complete<\/strong>\u00a0your\u00a0MSc application\u00a0(check the\u00a0admission requirements)<br><br><strong>In addition<\/strong>\u00a0to all the regular documents for a MSc programme application:<br><br><strong>Upload\u00a0<\/strong>the\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/d1rkab7tlqy5f1.cloudfront.net\/TUDelft\/Onderwijs\/Praktische_zaken\/Scholarships\/Scholarship%20Application%20Form%202020.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Scholarship Application Form<\/a><br><strong>Upload<\/strong>\u00a0two reference letters (in one PDF document),according to\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tudelft.nl\/onderwijs\/toelating-en-aanmelding\/msc-international-diploma\/required-documents\/\" target=\"_blank\">required documents<\/a><br><br>Two reference letters in either English, French, German or Dutch.<br>These letters must be:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>from either a previous professor or assistant professor. If you have work experience, one of these letters may be from your employer.<\/li><li>written on the official letterhead \/have the official stamp of the university or company.<\/li><li>signed by the referee and include your complete name<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Is your referee hesitant to provide you with the letter?<\/em>&nbsp;Then he\/she can email a scanned PDF of the letter to&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:contactcentre-esa@tudelft.nl\">contactcentre-esa@tudelft.nl.<\/a>&nbsp;His\/her e-mail must include your complete name and TU Delft student number. You will be given this number upon registering in Studielink.<br>If you choose this option, you must upload a statement under &#8220;reference letter&#8221; in&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/osiaan.tudelft.nl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">osiaan.tudelft.nl<\/a>&nbsp;informing us of this decision. This statement should include the name and e-mail address of your referee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note that Non-EU\/EFTA students must include their English test with their application (if required).
