The purpose of the RTP Scholarship is to attract top quality postgraduate students to the University so they can receive high quality research training that will contribute to the research and educational excellence of the university.<\/p>\n<p>These scholarships are funded by the Australian Government and cover one or more of the following types of support:<\/p>\n<p>Tuition fees offset for up to 4 years (full time load) depending of course and mode of study;<br \/>\nA stipend to assist students with their living costs while undertaking HDR study; and\/or<br \/>\nAn RTP allowance to assist students with ancillary costs which may include:<br \/>\nfor overseas students, a standard Overseas Student Health Cover policy approved by the Commonwealth Department of Health which covers the student and may cover their spouse and any <strong>dependants;<\/strong><br \/>\nRelocation costs to undertake a HDR at Curtin University; and\/or<br \/>\nHDR thesis printing and applicable publication costs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Student type<\/strong><br \/>\nCurrent Students<br \/>\nFuture Students<br \/>\nFaculty<br \/>\nCentre for Aboriginal Studies<br \/>\nFaculty of Business and Law<br \/>\nFaculty of Health Sciences<br \/>\nFaculty of Humanities<br \/>\nFaculty of Science &amp; Engineering<br \/>\nScience courses<br \/>\nEngineering courses<br \/>\nWestern Australian School of Mines (WASM)<br \/>\nCourse type<br \/>\nHigher Degree by Research<br \/>\nCitizenship<br \/>\nAustralian Citizen<br \/>\nAustralian Permanent Resident<br \/>\nNew Zealand Citizen<br \/>\nPermanent Humanitarian Visa<br \/>\nInternational Student<br \/>\nScholarship base<br \/>\nMerit Based<br \/>\nValue<br \/>\nThe 2019 value of the Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) was $27,596 pa (indexed annually).<\/p>\n<p>The 2020 value will be released by the Australian Government in October 2019.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Scholarship Details<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Eligibility criteria<\/strong><br \/>\nTo be eligible to apply you must:<br \/>\nBe a current or future student, either domestic or international; and Satisfy the entry requirements or be already admitted into a Masters by Research or Research Doctorate at Curtin University including meeting the Curtin University English proficiency levels.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application process<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Applicants will be assessed against the following metrics:<br \/>\n<\/strong>Basis of admission<br \/>\nAcademic qualifications<br \/>\nAchievement of candidacy<br \/>\nWork-related research experience<br \/>\nAcademic accomplishments<br \/>\nResearch and creative outputs of demonstrable quality<br \/>\nReferee report; and Strategic aligned projects.<\/p>\n<p><em>RTP2020 Competitve Scholarship Applications will open 15th July 2019.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Applications are invited from suitably qualified students to apply for an Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarships to undertake a Higher Degrees by Research (HDR) at Curtin University. You will need to complete this step prior to submitting your scholarship application in order to be given a student ID number.<\/p>\n<p><em>Note: Applicants who only want admission into Curtin University ONLY when they will also be awarded a RTP Scholarship must indicate this on their eApplication for admission and scholarship application. If you are unsuccessful in being shortlisted for this scholarship, your application for admission will not be progressed. Reserve list candidates will be notified in January.<\/p>\n<p>We do not provide up-dates on the progression of your applications until the final rankings are determined. This will be no earlier than the 2nd week in December 2019.
