The Islamic University of Indonesia (Universitas Islam Indonesia) is offering the Future Global Leaders Scholarships (FGLS) for international students all over the world.  UII is committed in educating students to become future global leaders by providing opportunities for international students to learn along with UII.

Scholarship Coverage

Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) is committed to educating students to become future global leaders by providing opportunities for international students to learn along with UII. Every year UII has offered scholarships with the quota:

• 50 international prospective students to study in a Bachelor or a Diploma program at UII under FGLS Regular Scheme; and

These scholarships are given to high school graduates who are citizens of countries other than Indonesia and have completed their education in high school or equivalent. The scholarship will cover:

• Registration fees and tuition fees for a maximum of 4 years during the undergraduate program at UII or 3 years for diploma program;
• Health insurance*;
• Monthly housing allowance
• Obtain a minimum GPA of 2.75 every semester as a review to decide the continuation of the FGLS (a competitive basis); and
• Submit the annual progress report to extend the FGLS (deadline in August every year).

All FGLS holders will receive a Letter of Award mention the duration of the FGLS per year. Thus, you should submit the extension of your scholarship annually. The university will review all the annual progress report and GPA per semester. When all requirements are fulfilled, you will continue your scholarship for maximum 3 years for the diploma program, 4 years for the bachelor program, 2 year for the master program, and 3 years for the doctoral program.

Visa and stay permit per year	2,500,000 IDR
Accommodation* per month	600,000 – 2,000,000 IDR
Meals per month	2,500,000 IDR
Internet per month	250,000 IDR
Photocopying, printing, stationery, textbooks per semester	500,000 IDR
Laundry per month	100,000 IDR

*depending on the facilities, with an assumption that the location of the accommodation is close to campus area (walking distance)

How to Apply

The FGLS 2022 is awarded to eligible high school graduates of countries other than Indonesia. The general requirements to be eligible when you:

1. Are secondary school/senior high school education graduates;
2. Have achieved excellent results of the study; and
3. Are not holders of any other scholarships or grants from UII.

Meeting the minimum entry requirements means you can apply to UII, but it does not guarantee selection. You need to apply online at admisi.uii.ac.id, fill out the form of each step.

The requirements to be prepared before starting the online application are:

1. Certified copies of your graduation certificate and academic transcript (if the language is other than English, please kindly provide the translation documents with an official stamp from the translator office);
2. The color scan of the first (photo) page of your passport;
3. Letter of good health (optional)*;
4. Current curriculum vitae/resume;
5. Statement of purpose;
6. Language proficiency certificate (English/Indonesian Language)**;
7. Declaration stating that you will not work on your study visa and you will obey the Indonesian law*; and
8. Passport-sized photos with a red background.

Enrolment Procedure

If your application is successful, you will receive:

• A letter of admission
• A study agreement

You have to fill out the study agreement and sign it, which means you accept all terms and conditions and regulations at UII. After completing the agreement, please kindly submit it to admisi.uii.ac.id using your NIU account.

After the document is verified, you will get a notification to finalize your enrolment at UII. After completed data are submitted, you will receive a digital student card.
