Similarly, students taking admission in the Ph.D. program can get €1,140 monthly allowance for a period of 12 months. Eiffel Scholarship Program also covers various expenses including return air tickets, local and national transport, health insurance, and funds to enjoy cultural activities. In certain cases the students are entitled to additional housing allowance.
One thing worth mentioning about Eiffel Scholarships Program is that these do not cover the tuition fees. This is because the Ministry offering these scholarships hopes that the institutions admitting international students will get maximum benefits and financial support from the institution too. The students who get enrolled in public institutions are exempted from enrollment fees. This is because government scholarship holders are also exempted from enrollment fees.
Application Criteria for Eiffel Scholarships Program
French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs has laid down the following criteria for applying to these scholarship programs.
#1 Nationality Requirements
Eiffel Scholarships are offered to only those students who are non-French by nationality. Even, the students with dual nationality are not eligible for these scholarships if one of their dual nationalities is French.
#2 Age Limit Requirements
The maximum age limit for securing admission in Masters is 30 years. This means that the students born after March 1989 are eligible for admission to Masters Programs. For Ph.D. programs the students up to 35 years of age are eligible. Thus, the students born after March 1984 are eligible for admission to Ph.D. programs. The students who do not meet these criteria are not eligible for admission under this scholarship program.
How to submit an application for Eiffel Scholarships in France?
International students submitting applications through French Education Establishments are granted admission. Applications submitted through any mean are not considered for shortlisting. This is because these establishments undertake to enroll scholarship holders to the programs offered by institutions. Here, it is pertinent to mention that students nominated by more than one establishment are rejected. Therefore, always try to apply through one of the establishments.
Courses Offered under Eiffel Scholarship of France
Another criterion for eligibility for Eiffel Scholarships Program is the selection of courses to study. International students seeking admission to Masters and Ph.D. programs are eligible for admission. These scholarships program does not cover French Masters Programs being offered in other countries. Professional training and training under apprenticeship are not covered under this program.

Engineering Sciences include Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Life Sciences, nanotechnology, biotechnology, Earth, Space, Environmental Sciences, and Information Sciences. Moreover, the students can also take admission in Political Science.
