Khalifa University (KU), along with its partners, offers a number of undergraduate scholarships for both UAE national and non-national students.

Scholarships for undergraduate Students

Scholarship for UAE Nationals


Full scholarships covering 100 % of tuition fees are provided to UAE national students. Monthly stipends are also provided to eligible UAE national students based on their Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). Details are as follows. This is subject to conditions stipulated in the General Scholarship Terms and Conditions.

Scholarship for NON-UAE Nationals

(a) Full Scholarships

A limited number of full scholarships are available for non-national students with outstanding academic performance and personal qualities. These scholarships are very highly competitive.

President’s Scholarship

The President’s Scholarship is our most prestigious tuition grant reserved for students on the basis of their academic achievements and excellence. To be considered for the President’s Scholarship, applicants must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher and be admitted into an Engineering or Science degree program.

(b) Partial Scholarships

A number of partial-scholarships are available for non-national students with excellent academic performance and personal qualities.

Khalifa University Scholarship

The Khalifa University Scholarship is a general tuition support grant for students with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater. Commenced to be a financial support for hardworking and deserving students, the KU Scholarships continues to incentivize a great number of students to do better.

(c) Self-pay Scholarships

Khalifa University offers additional financial support to students without established academic careers of excellence as a means to encourage and incentivize hard work and effort.

Self-pay Scholarship

The self-pay scholarship is designed to help students who strive for recognition of their academic vigor after not initially qualifying for a scholarship. Students who are admitted to KU but did not maintain academic excellence and a high GPA before joining can make the most of this scholarship to prove themselves and receives financial reimbursements.

ADNOC Scholarship Program

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has established its scholarship program to support the education and training of UAE Nationals to take up leading positions in ADNOC and its Group of Companies.

ADNOC Scholarship Program is offered exclusively to UAE nationals majoring in Chemical and Mechanical Engineering.

ADNOC Scholarship Program STIPEND Scheme:

Students under ADNOC Scholarship Program are eligible to get rewards based on the semester performance as below:

Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (TRA) Scholarship “Betha“

The Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (TRA), together with Khalifa University, has developed this scholarship program to help qualified UAE National students enroll in its undergraduate programs. The Be’tha Scholarship is available to UAE nationals who choose majors in Computer, Electrical and Communication Engineering.

UAE Nuclear Energy Scholarship Program (ENEC & FANR)

The Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC), together with Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research (KU), and the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR) have developed a unique scholarship initiative to provide UAE Nationals with an unparalleled opportunity to be a part of what is expected to be a cornerstone of the UAE’s power supply industry for decades to come.

Requirements:

  • Hold a UAE Secondary School Certificate (SSC) in Science with a minimum overall achievement of 85%.
  • All other admission requirements are as per Khalifa University Admission requirements.
  • Proof of English language proficiency which may take one of the following forms:
    • TOEFL (internet based test) : 70 or above
    • IELTS: 6.0 or above

National Electronic Security Authority (NESA) – Tamayuz Scholarship Program

The Tamayuz Scholarship Program was created to encourage ambitious, dedicated Emirati students to excel within their chosen career paths. The program represents NESA’s mandate and mission to invest in the development of our nation’s talent. Candidates are placed within a comprehensive program designed to complement their academic experience, ensuring their success and professional growth.
Tamayuz is offered to UAE nationals majoring in the following programs:

Requirements:

  • The applicant must hold UAE Citizenship
  • For high school graduates, the applicant must have: Achieved a score of at least 80% in grades 10, 11 and 12
  • For university students, the applicant must maintain a CGPA of minimum 3.25 and minimum 30 credit hours completed
  • The applicant must be medically fit
  • The applicant must be of good conduct
